Basic Flash fade out effect
This is a very basic fade out effect that uses a motion tween. It’s simple but works well.
1. On the first keyframe of your layer, insert your image (this will work for other objects, too).
2. Move to keyframe 40 and insert a Keyframe
3. Create a motion tween between Keyframes 1 and 40
4. At the 20th frame, insert a Keyframe
5. On that 20th frame, select the image and change it’s ALPHA value to 50%. To change the ALPHA value, select the image and go to the properties menu. Look for the COLOR item - you should see a DROP DOWN that will default to NONE. Choose ALPHA and adjust the percentage.
6. On the 40th (last) frame, select the image and change it’s ALPHA value to 0%.
7. Save your work and test.
This will create a steady fade out effect for your image. You can take this basic tutorial and modify it to add more images, etc.
